No Hugs
Player A
Player A is on top, with one leg between their legs. Trying to hug hands around the waist or head.
Player B
Player B is on the bottom, in half guard, trying to keep the top player off of them. Push on their shoulders, hands, neck, and stay on your side.
Win Condition(s)
If Player A gets their hands locked around their body or head.
The Shield
Player A
Player A has a shield, their top knee, from the bottom half guard. Use the knee shield and your frames to push the top player off and get them to put their hands on the mat.
Player B
Player B is trying to get C2C or C2B.
Win Condition(s)
If Player B gets C2C or C2B, switch.
Guard Recovery
Player A
Player A starts without the shield. Trying to push the partner away and get feet back inside.
Player B
Player B starts C2C, on top, in half guard. Player B is trying to get past the legs.
Win Condition(s)
If Player A gets both feet in between the legs of Player B, or Player B gets past the legs, switch top and bottom.
