Win Condition(s)
Guard Pass
Player A
Top player is attempting to pass. We’re looking for passing into mount. If you make it to mount, that’s a win.
Player B
Bottom player is attempting to sweep or submit.
Win Condition(s)
If mounted for Player A or Player B sweeps or submits, flip top and bottom.
Mount Control
Player A
Player A is on top, in the mount. Player A is attempting to control the mount and keep the position. No submissions.
Player B
Player B is attempting to escape. Even though the top player can’t submit, you should use legitimate escapes. Don’t do anything stupid that’d allow them to submit you.
Win Condition(s)
Same person on top for 2 minutes. Then we’ll switch.
Main Class
Setting Our Hand
Set our hand, getting our knuckles to the mat. Straight wrist. Looking for the crossface. Make sure you keep your left hook available, so you can grapevine and sink in your hips if they try to roll. Keep your head over their shoulder to shift your balance.
Punch the hand in the color down, to create a little open pocket. Stick your thumb of your free hand in the pocket, and punch it across. Don’t go too far across. Use your collar grip to pick them up slightly, so your hand can go under. You should only be able to see your thumb underneath. Bring your forearm across and finish the cross collar. Elbows to hips, hands coming in.
