Inside Position Hand Fighting

Player A

The objective for both players is to get the inside position. No takedowns, but maintain the inside position for as long as possible. That could be inside ties, a collar tie and an inside tie, a bodylock, whatever. As long as I’m on the inside, controlling, I’m winning and I’m good.

Player B

The objective for both players is to get the inside position. No takedowns, but maintain the inside position for as long as possible. That could be inside ties, a collar tie and an inside tie, a bodylock, whatever. As long as I’m on the inside, controlling, I’m winning and I’m good.

Win Condition(s)

There is no win condition. This is continuous.

2

Posture Breaker

Player A

Player A is on top, in closed guard, and attempting to maintain posture. You may not place your hands on the mat. Hands must stay on the bottom player.

Player B

Player B is on the bottom of closed guard and is trying to break the posture of Player A. They are also trying to get Player A to base on the mat. If Player A bases on the mats, that’s a win, and you flip top and bottom.

Win Condition(s)

3

Posture Breaker Standing

Player A

Player A is on top, in closed guard, and is allowed to start standing. Player A’s objective is to break open the guard.

Player B

Player B starts in bottom closed guard and allows the top player to stand, before starting. Once started, Player B attempts to break the posture or sweep.

Win Condition(s)

If Player A breaks open the guard or Player B sweeps, then switch.
